The Vision for Dartmoor has been updated through public consultation, stakeholder engagement and work with partners during 2025/26. It sets a shared direction for Dartmoor to 2045 and reflects a collective commitment to care for the National Park.

Dartmoor is a thriving and resilient landscape of moors and valleys, where nature, farming, communities and heritage flourish – where everyone feels welcome to live, work or visit.
The Vision sets a shared direction for Dartmoor to 2045 and reflects a collective commitment to care for the National Park, balancing the needs of people and place, and building long-term resilience. It is for everyone who helps shape Dartmoor's future.
Delivering the Vision
The Dartmoor National Park Partnership Plan sets out how we will work together in five-year cycles to deliver this Vision. It defines shared outcomes across seven themes and identifies targets to measure progress.
The current Partnership Plan is being reviewed to ensure it reflects the updated Vision and responds to the challenges and opportunities facing Dartmoor. The revised Partnership Plan will be published following public consultation and will guide partnership working over the next five years.
The Partnership Plan will continue to be reviewed every five years to ensure it remains relevant, effective and responsive to emerging challenges and opportunities.
